History: This particular car, as part of the appearance of the Union Pacific No. 844 Steam Locomotive in Topeka, Kansas on May 7-8, 2012, was built in 1962 by the St. Louis car company as a baggage car. It was given the number 6334. As one of the last baggage cars purchased by Union Pacific, it has a special place in its history.

In 1973, a conversion made this former tool car into a snowplow service car. The new number became: 904304. Because of its historical importance to UPRR, it became a part of the Heritage Passenger Fleet in 1981. The 'Art Lockman' moniker was applied in 1992 and renumbered: UPP 6334 in 2003.

This car is vital to the upkeep and maintenance of the historic steam engine. It carries tools, parts, machines, lubricants and other items. This car also has a crew lounge area, locker room and laundry area. Arthur Lockman retired as roundhouse foreman in Cheyenne,Wyo., after 43 years of having worked for Union Pacific. He is a well known former employee admired for his knowledge of steam locomotive maintenance and operation.
