HO Scale Brass Model Steam Turbine Locomotive from Micro Metakit

Beautiful model in pristine condition! We're grading it overall as "Like New."
The livery is black and red with Wagner smoke deflectors and a Parabol nose cone.
It's the 1934 version built by Henschel.
This is # 27 of 100 from the 2004 run.
This was one of three experimental turbine locomotives manufactured for the DRG that had devices designed to be more efficient than a conventional steam locomotive.
The running gear under the boiler used conventional reciprocating pistons, while the tender featured a steam turbine running gear. The exhaust steam from the forward pistons was piped back to the turbine under the tender. The tender also contained condensers to convert the steam used to power the turbine back into water for re-use.
The Parabol nose cone on the smokebox housed a fan for better drafting of the fire.
Typical of Micro Metakit models, the valve gear is fully functioning on this model, including the running gear under the tender. The nose cone is hinged and actually opens.

It features a very nice overall level of detail.
We track-tested it and it runs great! On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being quiet, we'd rate the overall running noise level of this model at 2.
The original box is included along with the COA from the factory and additional information.
