ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND SMOOTH RUNNING MODELS!
Cass Scenic Shay # 2 - This was the only 'Pacific Coast' Shay built to burn wood.
Converted to burn oil for her first owner, then to coal in 1983 ...
She can still be seen in operation to this day...
This was the only 'Pacific Coast' Shay built originally as a wood burner. She was converted to burn oil for sale to her first caretaker, the Mayo Lumber Co. Ltd., Paldi, BC, Canada... She then went through a series of four different owners before being sold to the State of Virgina (10-2-1970) for operation on the Cass... She was converted to burn coal in May of 1983... She can still be seen in operation to this day... What a beauty!
