#4000 as delivered with chalked “Big Boy” lettering on smokebox front applied by a worker while under construction in the Alco shops. This is where the locomotive got it’s name. It will feature swing out front coupler, exposed cooling coils, and Big Boy banner as used during its travels from New York to Omaha.
